Having always been drawn to the mystery of early cave paintings, in particular Lascaux.
I liked the idea of combining the earth rise image along with images from Lascaux, the reason for using the earth image as a metaphor for the dawn of time I felt enhanced a primeval atmosphere to the painting.
The image displays a very textural quality having used alot of base modelling paste in the original painting to echo cave walls.
Printed on 310gsm archival paper with light fast inks.
