What the Dickens
This page highlights the incredible diversity of material offered by institutes such as the Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, New Zealand, the British Library, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian and other similar international organisations that have, very generously, released literally thousands of images into the public domain.
The Dickens series came by way of my great great grandfather who, when reading the first publications of Dickens stories in the original "Penny Dreadful "magazines, decided to have them bound into separate volumes
